The Vox V847 is one of the best sounding wahs out of the box, also the most handsome wah around! We modify them to make it even better!

First, we convert it to true bypass which really does make a MAJOR difference when the wah is disengaged , your signal is no longer routed thru the circuit board which otherwise robs tone, gain and YOUR sound!

As for when it IS engaged and this is where it gets even better .... key resistors have been replaced with board mounted trim pots, now YOU can adjust the Q ( voice), volume, midrange, bass and gain to achieve the tones you've been looking for in a wah!

Excellent control, very cool!

There is more ... a battery kill switch has been added, perfect for board mounted wahs, no need to unplug just flick the switch, for those of you that use a power supply a filtered/regulated DC jack has been installed, necessary components neatly mounted on the board.

Also, an LED (blue) has been installed near the DC jack, all capacitors have been replaced with new caps of the original values and both hi gain transistors have been swapped out to low gain BC109B transistors, closer to the values of vintage wahs!

Nice and fat, beefy tone ! You WILL love this wah, it is a keeper for sure!

I have modified it to make it even better to allow true bypass which really does make a MAJOR difference when the wah is disengaged. Your signal no longer runs thru the board / electronics which robs YOUR tone and YOUR sound!

Now, when it IS engaged, this is the best part, what I have done, in addition to true bypass, is add board mounted trimmers that will allow the Q, volume, midrange, bass & gain to be adjustable, set the tone and voice where YOU like it , much more "vocabulary" and expressiveness a much better "wah sound" not harsh and a very desirable modification. Nice & Sweet!

Also replaced were ALL capacitors to new and original specs , hi gain transistors have been swapped out and replaced with a matched set of low gain BC109B transistors, very close to the values you find in vintage wahs. The input buffer circuit has been removed as well . You will have yourself one beefy, kickass wah, a keeper for sure!

It is in great condition, usually just very, very minor scuffs /scratches and on the bottom cover plate as usual.

Check out this highly modified Boss DS-1 distortion pedal As many players know this pedal is rather weak and thin sounding out of the box and leaves much to be desired, my modifications have breathed new life into it and has been transformed into a dirt pedal you will love to have and will keep in your chain of effects!

Several capacitors and resistors have been replaced with ones of higher quality /tolerance and values to give this pedal more GIRTH and TONE, yet focused, clear and more defined! Side by side, their is no comparison between a stock DS-1 and my modified DS-1 , the difference is incredible!

A touch more gain has also been added as well as asymmetrical clipping, better bass response and an increased output!

As many players know the Boss SD-1 pedal is not too bad out of the box but still leaves much to be desired.

My modifications have breathed new life into it and has transformed it into an overdrive pedal you will love to have.

Several capacitors and resistors have been replaced with superior quality metal film components to give this pedal more GIRTH, GAIN and GREAT TONE, yet focused, clearer with much better definition.

A/B'd, there is no comparison between a stock SD-1 and my modified SD-1, the difference is incredible! More gain has been added as well as more low end and an increased output!

This is the Boss MT-2 Metal Zone distortion pedal which, out of the box, has some decent sounds and tones but does need quite a bit of help in a few areas to get it up to speed and where it should be!

The tone section has been reworked to get rid of the nasty icepick highs and the well known nasal mids, better bass response as well as more precise tonal adjustments have been introduced into the circuit, highly tweakable tone controls!

Slightly more gain has also been added as well as the clipping section being altered giving the overall distortion a much smoother sound ...no more unnatural buzzsaw grind, much - much better and more pleasing to the ear!

Many electrolytic and other inferior capacitors / resistors have been replaced with high quality metal film components of the same and different values which yield superior clarity and tone, tone, tone!

Also, to go even further, several capacitors and resistors have been replaced with ones of different values and much higher grade metal film, more "breathing room".

No more muddy sound and really opens it up to allow much better bass, chunk and girth as well as increased gain/saturation, just crank up the drive pot for more or turn it down and it cleans up nicely!

One the pair of clipping diodes was changed as well for even order/asymmetrical distortion and harmonics, much better!

This may be one of the best overdrives you have ever heard for the money!

Rich harmonics and excellent sustain, and great note bloom!

The pedals are used in good condition but most have some minor scuffs and scratches.

The stock red LED has been replaced with a 3mm blue LED and it also has a new on/off switch which I always do replace!

Thanks for checking our site and gear out. We hope we've answered all your questions and you're ready to purchase our pedals and or services.

First let me just say that the pedals depicted are representations and NOT the actual pedals for sale.

Second we will on ocassion offer 'less than appealing' pedals at special prices in the future so if you don't mind a great sounding pedal that may have cosmetic issues we will have those available from time to time.

All pedals ARE USED and therefore may have some flaw cosmetically more often than not. Some may be near new while others may have a scratch(es) or ding here and there but they won't affect the playability.

Some players care what their pedals look like while others figure no one ever looks at their stuff or could care less what they look like anyway.
