This is a killer pedal , classic Vox black and chrome, classic overdrive tones and VERY tubescreamer-ish, nice build using decent components including a Texas Instruments RC4558P ...... Why this was discontinued is beyond my comprehension??
ALL of my tubescreamer mods apply to this pedal, better clipping, more bass, more gain, chip socket to plug in endless other IC's, etc........

There is really not much info out there about this discontinued pedal , user reviews run hot and cold on this oddball and my thoughts always leaned towards the chilly side!
I have messed with these pedals , on and off, for years and was never quite pleased with the outcome thus, it would be swept under the rug once again!
I finally feel confident I've nailed the right combination of parts to make this a useable stand-alone pedal!
Like the V-810 the finish is bad-ass lookin' black and chrome but that is where the similarity ends ........ a brief history and my take on it .
It was made to boost existing distortion , whether it be from amp or pedals , but apparently not considered to be used alone or with a clean amp!?
My take on it ... stock, out of the box it is a rather harsh, thin sounding pedal with a tone control that basically does next to nothing!
Now , after much frustration, this thing ROCKS! MUCH better EVERYTHING! Clipping is now smoother but is ready for nasty, the tone control actually does something and offers better bass response too!
Chip socket to swap out different IC's and , by the way , is originally equipped with Texas Instruments RC4558P and will be included!!
Expect dramatic changes in a very good way!!
DOD FX-100 Integrated Tube Even Harmonic Overdrive
Okay , here is another sleeper and discontinued overdrive pedal that I like and have actually used in my chain on and off for years ... still have it too!
It does have an odd finish ... my site designer calls it the bowling ball pedal but this is a KILLER sounding pedal after even minor tweaks!
I like to mess with the clipping section(s) a bit and add more low end but it does have a separate treble and bass control ... lot's of tone control here!
This is a very cool , underrated and forgotten pedal!!
